As an owner, once the project is completed, there would be a three-year compliance period in which you would have to agree to:
—– Market any vacant units to ‘low-income families with children under 6’, which is our main demographic
—– Rent cannot be raised on any current tenants more than 3% in a given year
—– If the property is sold within the 3-year compliance period, the new owner must agree to pick-up whatever time remains in the 3-year compliance period, following the same rules until the period has expired.
